We regularly offer 2-3hr hacks on well-schooled horses in beautiful countryside, often including a pub stop along the way for refreshments. This is a more relaxed and sociable way to enjoy riding and escape from City life. We can accommodate different abilities, but generally riders must have sufficient experience to be comfortable cantering in open spaces.
We run several weekends away each year to various idyllic locations, with plenty of time in the saddle, whether in the form of structured tuition or guided treks. There is often a theme to the weekend, such as preparing for hunting, cross-country or eventing, or sometimes the weekends includes a range of riding activities. Comfortable accommodation, good food and local transport is generally included, and non-riding partners are mostly welcome.
For members wanting to hone their skills, we frequently offer training events at weekends. These cover all disciplines from Showjumping and Cross Country to Dressage, Side Saddle and Intro to Hunting experiences.
Want to try a new discipline but don’t know where to start? We run intro days to experience polo, hunting, side saddle and more. This is a great way to get a feel for the sport and whether it’s for you, so you can decide if you want to take it further, or just enjoy the one-off experience
Escape the city in the summer months for stunning beach rides at Bognor Regis with The Riding Club. Gallop along the beach with other members before heading to the pub for a well-earned glass of wine!
We have great contacts in the racing world and regularly offer ‘morning on the gallops’ opportunities where you can see what goes on at a racing yard. For more experienced riders wishing to let off some steam, we also offer the chance to ride the gallops in Surrey!
From time to time we organise riding holidays for members. These have included some amazing trips in the past, from Horseback Safaris in Africa to Dressage courses and trail riding across Europe, and going ‘Goucho’ style in Argentina.
