Members of The Riding Club are privileged to be able to ride the horses of The Household Cavalry on Wednesday evenings at Knightsbridge Barracks under the supervision of a Military Instructor.
We run two 1-hour sessions, starting promptly at 7:00pm and 8:00pm. Those who have not previously ridden with the Cavalry must spectate a session before booking. All riders must be confident in tacking-up and un-tacking their horses, brushing off and putting on rugs and bandages independently and without any assistance (please attend a ‘Preparing to Ride’ workshop in advance if you have any doubts.) The Household Cavalry is not a riding school environment and all riders must be experienced and comfortable with big, fit horses.
For security reasons, to ride at the Household Cavalry you must purchase a ‘Household Cavalry Pass’ and have valid personal accident insurance. Please ensure that you have also read the terms set out on the website for ‘Riding at the Household Cavalry.’
For bookings, please email email@example.com stating which dates and times you are available. There is always much demand and we will endeavour to allocate spaces fairly, but ultimately it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Once bookings have been confirmed, payment will be taken from the card registered to your account, unless you provide an alternative. The cost is £70 per session*. Lessons cannot be refunded if cancellations are made by the rider, unless a minimum of 48hrs notice are given and we are able to fill the space. An administration charge of £5 will be deducted. Riders cannot swap sessions between themselves without our agreement, this is to be fair to those on the waiting list.
Strictly no photos are to be taken and circulated publicly.
*(Please note the increased price is due to higher charges from the Household Cavalry.)
